Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a range of tasks that may include: conducting research and analysis on digital technology and human rights issues; assisting in the drafting and summarization of reports and background materials; preparing documentation for meetings, seminars, and workshops; taking notes and drafting reports from these events; and supporting other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. The intern will report directly to the Human Rights Officer and will work under the overall guidance of the Chief of the DTHR Section, ensuring that their contributions align with the section's objectives.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the internship, applicants must be recent graduates or currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's degree or equivalent) or a first-level university degree program (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in fields such as law, political science, international relations, social sciences, or related areas. While no professional work experience is required, applicants should possess skills and knowledge that would benefit the UN during their internship. Familiarity with human rights issues, particularly in relation to digital rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, is considered advantageous.

Educational Background:
