Job Overview:
CIMMYT is seeking an experienced FP&A Lead to oversee institutional analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, management reporting, and strategic decision support. This role is pivotal in developing forecasts, dashboards, and financial insights, ensuring data integrity across planning systems, and driving reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives. The FP&A Lead will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of analysts who support financial planning across various research and funding portfolios. The position requires a strategic mindset to enhance financial performance and support organizational decision-making, particularly focusing on the CGIAR Science Program and Accelerator Funding Portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The FP&A Lead will be responsible for leading institutional financial performance analysis, management reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and executive decision-support activities. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining financial analyses, business cases, forecasts, scenario models, and performance insights to support organizational decision-making. The focus will be on the CGIAR Science Program and Accelerator Funding Portfolio, while also providing financial analysis and reporting support for institutionally managed initiatives, cross-programmatic projects, strategic investments, and centrally managed funding. The FP&A Lead will serve as the business owner for financial planning and reporting data within D365, Workday Adaptive Planning, and related reporting platforms, ensuring data integrity and governance. Additionally, the role involves leading continuous improvement, reporting modernization, automation, and finance transformation initiatives, as well as managing and developing a team of FP&A Analysts to ensure high-quality analytical support and reporting services across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent is preferred. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, management reporting, financial analytics, business intelligence, or decision-support functions. Strong experience in developing executive reporting, dashboards, KPIs, financial models, and analytical frameworks is essential. Candidates should also have experience managing financial reporting environments, ERP systems, and planning platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Workday Adaptive Planning. Demonstrated experience in leading process improvement, reporting modernization, automation, and analytical teams is crucial, along with strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline is required for this position. Additionally, a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent is preferred, indicating a high level of expertise and commitment to the field.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management reporting, financial analytics, business intelligence, or decision-support functions. Candidates should have a strong background in developing executive reporting, dashboards, KPIs, financial models, and analytical frameworks, as well as experience managing financial reporting environments and ERP systems.

Languages:
An advanced level of English (C1) is mandatory for this position, ensuring effective communication and reporting. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required.
