Job Overview:
The Food & Beverage Manager position at CIMMYT is a pivotal role that involves leading and coordinating multiple food service operations. The manager will ensure high standards of quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency across various service channels. Responsibilities include managing budgets, menu development, inventory control, vendor negotiations, food safety compliance, and initiatives aimed at revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and extensive experience in managing diverse food and beverage operations in a dynamic environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the organization's reputation for quality service and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee and coordinate all food and beverage outlets and services, which include the cafeteria, dining hall, catering services, food truck, grocery store, and vending machines. Key responsibilities include managing the department’s budget, controlling costs, and ensuring profitability. The manager will develop and update the product and service catalog, lead menu planning and control, and ensure that nutritional information and communication materials are accurate and accessible. Additionally, the manager will control inventories and fixed assets, coordinate uniforms, equipment, and work materials for staff, and ensure compliance with hygiene standards and certifications such as Distintivo H and safety regulations. The role also involves analyzing satisfaction surveys and complaints to implement necessary improvements and proposing strategies to increase revenue.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management is required, particularly in multi-outlet operations. Knowledge of international cuisine, service protocols, and Distintivo H is essential. Candidates should also have intermediate English proficiency (B2 level) and advanced skills in MS Office. Strong negotiation and leadership skills are crucial for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy, Hospitality Management, or a related field. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of food service management and ensuring high standards in operations.

Experience:
