  • This internship is a paid opportunity designed for university students from member countries, providing them with a chance to learn about development work and corporate management within the Bank. Interns will gain valuable work experience through on-the-job learning, contributing to the office's resource planning, administration, and coordination functions. The internship will involve supporting various administrative tasks, including meeting and event planning, vendor management, and internal communications, all aimed at facilitating the smooth operation of the Country Office and its initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Meeting and event coordination: Assisting with logistics, venue arrangements, catering coordination, participant follow-up, and related administrative tasks for internal meetings, workshops, and office events.
  • Vendor and office support: Communicating with vendors, following up on outstanding requirements, assisting with service requests, and supporting the office’s general administrative needs.
  • Internal communications and coordination: Preparing and circulating monthly calendars, office-wide notices, meeting materials, and follow-up communications to enhance coordination across the Country Office.
  • Records and documentation management: Organizing digital and physical records, maintaining administrative files, and supporting the tracking of invoices, correspondence, and office requests.
  • Administrative and logistical support: Providing assistance for special assignments, staff engagement initiatives, visitor support, and other operational activities as required to ensure the effective functioning of the Country Office.

Required Qualifications:

  • First job at the IDB Group: Must be a first-time participant in an Internship Program held by the Bank or Inter-American Investment Corporation. Candidates should not have been former staff members, Complementary Workforce contractors, or provided services to the Bank or Corporation through any other contractual modality.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should be an active undergraduate student pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, business administration, marketing, or a related field at an accredited university. It is essential that the graduation date is not prior to the last day of the internship, ensuring that the student is still actively engaged in their academic program during the internship period.

Additionally, a working knowledge of Spanish is preferred, as it is one of the Bank’s additional official languages, which may enhance the intern's ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within the diverse environment of the IDB Group.

Additional Notes:
The internship is structured as a Consultant position with a contract duration of 5.5 months, starting from July 16, 2026, and concluding on December 31, 202
