Job Overview: The Investment Analyst position is situated within the Asia Pacific Infrastructure & Natural Resources Department of IFC, based in New Delhi, India. This role is critical as infrastructure is one of IFC's strategic priorities. The selected candidate will support the development of IFC’s infrastructure business in South Asia, executing debt and equity investments for infrastructure projects across the Asia Pacific region, and supervising portfolio investments. The role requires a multifaceted approach, including conducting market and industry research, analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, and synthesizing information to support informed decision-making. The candidate will work closely with the Team Lead to enhance IFC’s infrastructure initiatives, focusing on increasing access to basic infrastructure services, supporting local companies, and developing new financial products through Public Private Partnerships. The position is a three-year term contract, extendable to five years, and is part of a global recruitment effort for investment analysts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Investment Analyst include:
Demonstrating skill in financial statement analysis, accounting, finance, financial modeling, discounted cash flow (DCF), and comparable company analysis to support informed decision-making.
Conducting thorough market and industry research and analysis.
Paying attention to detail and performing thoughtful scenario analysis to ensure high-quality work.
Understanding the financial aspects of investment or advisory transactions, including market analysis and assessing the financial soundness of companies or project opportunities.
Analyzing and synthesizing debt pricing benchmarks and equity trading comparables.
Understanding the impact of specific investments or advisory transactions on economic, market, and social development, and using mapping methodology to assess market conditions and business opportunities.
Identifying data collection needs to support assessments of financial, operational, development impact, market information, and relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters.
Coordinating with clients to obtain necessary information.
Demonstrating active listening skills to identify client and stakeholder needs. 1

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Investment Analyst position include:
A Master’s degree or equivalent is mandatory.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a financial institution, particularly in investment transactions.
Proficiency in developing complex financial models.
A keen interest in development finance and the ability to thrive in multicultural environments.
High motivation and commitment to the highest ethical standards, with the ability to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries.
Strong knowledge of financial markets.
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, particularly in corporate and project finance.
