Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will be responsible for a range of tasks that support the APCTT's mission. These include conducting research and literature reviews on topics related to technology transfer and climate technologies, assisting in the preparation of research papers and policy briefs, and helping to organize webinars and workshops. Interns will also identify and map relevant experts and institutions for potential collaboration, monitor developments in science and technology policy, and support knowledge management functions within the organization. Additional responsibilities may include conducting research on technology transfer offices across the Asia-Pacific region and participating in other activities as directed by their supervisor. The internship is full-time, requiring a commitment of five days per week, totaling 37.5 hours.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent) in fields such as Communications, Journalism, Climate Change, Environment, Innovation, Sustainable Development, or International Relations related to science and technology. Alternatively, candidates who have recently graduated with a relevant university degree may also apply, provided they commence the internship within one year of graduation. A good understanding of climate technologies and sustainable development is essential, along with experience in web-based research and digital content creation. Excellent written communication and networking skills are required, as well as proficiency in standard software applications such as MS Office and familiarity with AI tools and social media platforms. While professional work experience is not mandatory, familiarity with relevant issues and data handling skills are advantageous.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this internship includes a graduate degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Climate Change, Environment, Innovation, Sustainable Development, or International Relations related to science and technology.
