Job Overview:
As a Cyber security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security and Forensics Specialist at ESA, you will play a crucial role as a senior member of the ESACERT, ESA's Computer Emergency Response Team. This position is integral to the IT Security Section, which is part of the Security and Shared Infrastructure Services Division. Your primary focus will be on incident response, forensic analysis, threat intelligence, and penetration testing. You will be responsible for coordinating responses to medium- and high-severity security incidents, ensuring that all actions are aligned with stakeholders, and maintaining comprehensive incident handling reports. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of security governance processes and participate in security awareness campaigns. Your expertise will also be leveraged in executing security testing campaigns and defining incident handling procedures in collaboration with the Cyber Security Operations Center (C-SOC).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties will include acting as the technical incident handling coordinator for security incidents, prioritizing and executing incident response actions, and ensuring proper documentation of all incident handling steps. You will define recovery plans in collaboration with stakeholders and participate in lessons learned exercises to enhance security governance. Furthermore, you will be responsible for defining and executing security testing campaigns, contributing to security awareness sessions, and acting as a forensics specialist during investigations. You will also provide advisory support on cyber security matters and contribute to the overall objectives of the IT Security Section.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a vocational qualification (EQF level 5) in Operations Cyber Security. Additionally, experience in an international context and in the space sector is considered a strong asset. The role requires a proactive approach to incident handling and a strong understanding of cyber security principles and practices.

Educational Background:
A vocational qualification in Operations Cyber Security is required for this position. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in cyber security principles, incident response, and forensic analysis.

Experience:
Candidates should have relevant professional experience in cyber security, particularly in incident handling and forensic analysis. Experience working in an international environment and familiarity with the space sector will be advantageous.

Languages:
Proficiency in English or French is mandatory, as these are the working languages of the Agency. Knowledge of another language from an ESA Member State is considered an asset, enhancing communication within the diverse workforce.

Additional Notes:
This position is a 4-year appointment with the possibility of extension based on performance. The selected candidates will be part of an on-call setup, requiring regular weekly on-call duties. Recruitment will be conducted within the advertised grade band (A2-A4), with potential for A1 level for candidates with less than four years of relevant experience.
