Job Overview:
The Associate, Manager of the FI Donor Programmes Team (FIDP) plays a crucial role in the implementation of Technical Co-operation and Co-investment funds for the Financial Institutions Business Group (FIBG). This position is primarily focused on managing complex blended finance programmes, particularly the SME Competitiveness Support Programmes and the operational oversight of the Ukraine programme portfolio. The Associate ensures the integrity and consistency of programme implementation, provides guidance on TC programmes/projects, and ensures effective reporting and mobilization of donor funds. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, donors, and internal teams, to maximize the impact of donor funds in FI operations. The Associate is expected to manage a portfolio of programmes with significant grant volumes and prepare necessary documentation for internal approvals and donor presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate is responsible for managing complex blended finance facilities and programmes, ensuring oversight of direct reports' portfolios, and contributing to the structuring and approval processes for these initiatives. Key responsibilities include monitoring the deployment of facilities and projects, preparing bespoke donor progress updates and reports, responding to queries related to donor funding, and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines. The Associate will also lead the TC Grant Review process, support procurement of consultants, and manage team members by overseeing their work, providing training, and conducting performance appraisals. Additionally, the Associate will participate in Bank-wide initiatives and collaborate with various teams to enhance coordination and knowledge-sharing.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess relevant experience in an international financial institution or donor organization, particularly in project management roles. A strong background in the financial sector, especially with banks or non-bank financial institutions, is advantageous. Experience with blended concessional finance programmes in transition economies is also beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate proven project management skills, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, attention to detail, and people management experience are essential for this role.

Educational Background:
A strong academic background is required, ideally with a degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or finance may be preferred.

Experience:
Candidates should have a significant level of experience in project management within an international financial context. Experience working with donor-funded projects and familiarity with blended finance mechanisms will be highly regarded. The role requires the ability to handle complex matters and find pragmatic solutions, as well as experience in managing teams and projects effectively.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the regions served by the EBRD may be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
