Job Overview:

The internship is expected to last for six months, with flexible timing based on the intern's availability and academic commitments. It is important to note that this internship is unpaid and requires a full-time commitment of 35-40 hours per week. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the outreach and communication efforts of CITES. Key duties include drafting content for social media campaigns and websites, editing and producing multimedia content, designing outreach materials such as factsheets and presentations, and organizing internal storage for multimedia assets. The intern will also support communication planning for campaigns and key meetings, monitor social media and website performance, and compile communications reports. Additionally, the intern will assist in organizing virtual and in-person meetings, workshops, and training sessions, provide programmatic support to other projects, maintain tracking lists and documentation, and perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application: (a) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent); (b) be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent or higher); or (c) have graduated with a university degree. A background in communication, graphic design, environmental science, or related fields is essential. Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or Canva is required, while knowledge of website content management systems like Drupal is desirable. Although professional work experience is not mandatory for UN internships, a relevant field of study is necessary.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be students in their final year of a bachelor's degree program, or enrolled in a master's or Ph.D. program, or have completed such programs. The educational background should be closely related to the internship's focus, particularly in areas such as communication, environmental science, or graphic design. Proof of enrollment or graduation must be provided during the application process, and an official certificate will be required later.

Experience:
While applicants are not required to have professional work experience, they should possess relevant academic experience in fields related to the internship.
