Job Overview:
As an intern in the cabinet of the Director General of AFD, you will be engaged for a period of six months under the supervision of the cabinet director. Your role will involve organizing the Director General's travel both domestically and internationally, as well as preparing for daily meetings. You will be responsible for creating strategic notes and materials that address the challenges faced by the Group and the major dynamics within the development sector. Additionally, you will monitor current public debates and academic and institutional work related to development policies in France and internationally. This monitoring will assist the General Management in preparing for its internal and external engagements and positions. You will also contribute to the production of speeches for the Director General and write texts for various communication platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include organizing travel arrangements for the Director General, preparing meeting materials, and drafting strategic notes on development issues. You will conduct research and maintain a watch on relevant public debates and academic work, providing insights that will inform the Director General's interventions. You will also assist in the preparation of speeches and written communications, ensuring that they align with the agency's mission and objectives. Collaboration with team members and other departments will be essential to fulfill these responsibilities effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a degree from a Grande Ecole (such as IEP, ENS, business school, or engineering school) or a university background in economics, development, international relations, or social sciences. Strong analytical, reflective, and synthesis skills are essential, along with excellent writing abilities and a passion for communication.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational level of Bac+5 is required for this position, indicating a master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Experience:
While specific prior experience may not be mandatory, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Experience in research, writing, or project management in a related field would be advantageous.

Languages:
A working level of English is required for this position, enabling effective communication in an international context. Proficiency in additional languages would be considered a plus.
