Job Overview:
The Analyst position within the Green Partnerships team of the Donor Partnerships department at EBRD is crucial for managing donor resources aimed at addressing climate change and environmental degradation. The role involves analyzing financial information, providing solutions to financial issues, and ensuring the effective management of donor funds. The Analyst will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with donor agreements. This position requires interaction with various departments within EBRD to coordinate the receipt and expenditure of climate-focused donor funds, making it essential for the successful implementation of the Bank's strategic goals related to environmental sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will support the management of donor funds by tracking contributions, processing disbursements, and managing fund budgets. Responsibilities include reviewing cash positions, preparing monthly cash flow forecasts, and managing climate donor management fees. The Analyst will also map financial processes to improve internal procedures, continuously analyze financial situations, and prepare reports on financial performance. Implementing effective internal financial controls, managing financial data, and ensuring compliance with donor agreements are key aspects of the role. The Analyst will prepare financial reports for donors, provide financial advice to colleagues, and progressively take on more complex tasks as they gain experience.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field. They should have experience in financial and funds management services, including familiarity with financial management systems like SAP. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, a self-starter attitude, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related subject is required for this position. Equivalent university degrees may also be considered, provided they align with the financial and analytical demands of the role.

Experience:
The position requires experience in financial management, including analyzing and interpreting financial information, managing budgets, and conducting financial reporting. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing contributions and investments, as well as verifying accounts for audit purposes. Experience in an international organization is preferred, particularly in roles that involve donor fund management.

Languages:
Fluent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not explicitly required.
