Job Overview: The Fleet Operations Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that Global Fleet services are efficiently provided to country offices within the region. This position requires a proactive approach to communication and relationship management, serving as the primary liaison between clients and the Global Fleet team. The incumbent will be responsible for developing strong partnerships with Country Offices, Regional Bureau, and external partners, promoting transparency and responsiveness in service delivery. The role involves supporting customer engagement initiatives, onboarding processes, and feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in fleet services. The Fleet Operations Manager will also contribute to the design and development of new services aligned with customer needs and organizational priorities, ensuring that the Global Fleet Portal is accurate and user-friendly. This position demands a strong understanding of fleet operations, data management, and customer service delivery, with a focus on enhancing service quality and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Fleet Operations Manager include:
Ensuring efficient provision of Global Fleet services to country offices in the region.
Acting as the primary point of contact for communication between clients and the Global Fleet team.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Country Offices, Regional Bureau, and external partners.
Supporting customer engagement initiatives, including onboarding and feedback mechanisms.
Prospecting and developing new customer relationships to promote Fleet’s service offerings.
Contributing to the design and development of new services aligned with customer needs.
Collaborating with technical and operational teams to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.
Ensuring the accuracy and usability of the Global Fleet Portal.
Contributing to the enhancement of customer service procedures through digitalization. 1
Supporting the implementation of customer engagement strategies and performance monitoring tools. 1
Contributing to change management efforts to embed a client-centric culture within Global Fleet operations. 1
Supporting reporting and knowledge-sharing initiatives that highlight Global Fleet’s value proposition. 1

Required Qualifications: The position requires an advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Relations, or related fields. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of fleet and transport operations, including data management and customer service delivery. Knowledge of transport contracting, procurement, and financial procedures is essential. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), SAP, and fleet management systems is required. Excellent analytical and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in complex, multicultural environments. Hands-on knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical operations is an advantage.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold an advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Relations, or related fields. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of fleet operations and logistics management within a humanitarian context.
Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in fleet or workshop management, logistics, procurement, supply chain, or related fields is required. Experience in customer service, stakeholder engagement, or business development within a humanitarian or operational context is considered an asset. Field experience, particularly in complex emergency settings, managing fleets and workshops, is desirable.
Languages: Fluency (Level C) in English is mandatory, along with a working knowledge (Level C) of French. Proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial but is not required.
