Duties and Responsibilities: The UNV WASH Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: ensuring the availability of accurate and up-to-date information for effective WASH design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and implementation; drafting WASH program budgets for supervisor review; enhancing program efficiency through evidence-based approaches; ensuring financial and administrative documentation is appropriate; analyzing collected data and preparing progress reports; assisting in the preparation of technical studies and documentation; and supporting communication and networking with counterparts on project implementation. The officer will also collaborate with the Monitoring & Evaluation office to maintain a gender and equity focus in data collection and reporting.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the UNV WASH Officer position should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. They should demonstrate accountability, adaptability, and professionalism in their work. The role requires good judgment and decision-making abilities, as well as effective planning and organizing skills. Educational Background: A relevant educational background is required for the UNV WASH Officer position. Additional Notes: This is a national UN Volunteer assignment based in Aleppo, Syria. The UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. The position offers a monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of USD 919.41, along with a one-time entry lump sum payment of USD 35
Depending on the hardship classification of the duty station, a Danger and Hardship Differential may also be provided. National UN Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive and adapt to the local culture and traditions. Additionally, volunteers will have free access to UNV's learning and career development resources.
