Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee all logistics activities related to the quantification, shipment, receipt, storage, warehousing, dispatch, and distribution of goods. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality programming to the poor and vulnerable populations. The manager will leverage their knowledge and experience to anticipate and address logistics challenges, applying principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability. The position requires collaboration with programming leads to synchronize supply with programming needs, ensuring compliance with CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local inventory standards. The manager will also be responsible for managing logistics service requirements, addressing supply chain issues, and ensuring effective team management and staff well-being. This role is vital for maintaining high standards in supply chain management and ensuring that the organization meets its operational goals effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including: collaborating with direct reports and programming leads to conduct pipeline analyses; managing logistics service requirements and delivery schedules; identifying and addressing potential supply chain problems; supervising and coaching team members; monitoring performance to ensure capacity for high-quality programming; assessing transportation resources and storage facilities; maintaining relationships with port operations, freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers; participating in coordination meetings; planning and managing the distribution chain; mitigating security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security risks; overseeing the execution of dispatch plans; ensuring accurate product movement reporting; creating a conducive learning environment; and providing capacity strengthening guidance to staff and partners. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field, with a minimum of 2-3 years of progressive work experience in supply chain or logistics management. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field, experience in relief supply chain management, and professional certifications in Supply Chain. Familiarity with commodity tracking systems is also advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, ethical conduct, and the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is required for this position. A Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or a relevant discipline is preferred, as it indicates a higher level of expertise and understanding of complex supply chain dynamics. Candidates with equivalent experience in logistics management may also be considered, provided they can demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in supply chain or logistics management. Candidates with progressive responsibility in these areas will be favored, particularly those who have experience in managing logistics for humanitarian or development programs. Experience in relief supply chain management is particularly desirable, as it indicates familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of this sector.

Languages:

Knowledge of Arabic is preferred, as it may facilitate communication with local partners and beneficiaries in certain areas. The anticipated duration of this position is 3 months, indicating a temporary assignment that may be subject to extension based on organizational needs and funding availability. The role involves supervisory responsibilities, overseeing positions such as the LMIS/Commodity Accountant and Warehouse Manager.
