Job Overview: The National Consultant on the Adaptation and Application of the INTRAC Methodology will be responsible for adapting and applying the BMO (Business Model Organization) organizational capacity assessment methodology specifically for BMOs and BMO PANKs. This role involves utilizing the CCI (Capacity and Capability Index) system to assess and enhance the organizational capacities of these entities. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the methodology is effectively tailored to meet the specific needs of the organizations involved. The position is home-based, allowing for flexibility, but it requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results within a specified timeframe. The consultant will be expected to engage with various stakeholders, gather data, and provide insights that will inform the adaptation process. This role is crucial for strengthening the capacity of BMOs and ensuring they can effectively contribute to their communities and sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing INTRAC methodology and identify areas for adaptation to suit the specific context of BMOs and BMO PANKs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and feedback on the adaptation process.
Develop a tailored version of the INTRAC methodology that incorporates the unique needs and challenges faced by BMOs.
Implement the adapted methodology in a pilot assessment with selected BMOs, ensuring that the process is well-documented and evaluated.
Provide training and support to stakeholders on the application of the adapted methodology.
Prepare detailed reports on the findings from the pilot assessments, including recommendations for further improvements.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to disseminate the adapted methodology and gather further insights for refinement.
Ensure that all deliverables are completed within the agreed timeline and meet the quality standards set by UNDP.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in organizational capacity assessment methodologies, particularly in the context of BMOs.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with the INTRAC methodology and its application in various contexts.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in a relevant field such as international development, public administration, social sciences, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications or training in organizational capacity assessment methodologies will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in organizational development, capacity building, or related fields is required. Experience working with BMOs or similar organizations is highly desirable. Previous experience with UNDP or other international organizations will be an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Ukrainian or Russian is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of the consultancy.
Additional Notes: This position is classified as a national consultant role, which means that the consultant must be based in Ukraine. The assignment is home-based, with no travel required, and is expected to last up to 6 months, with a maximum of 180 calendar days of service. The consultant will be compensated according to UNDP's individual contractor rates, and the application process requires submission through the UNDP Quantum Supplier Portal.
