The role involves supporting various functions within the Peacebuilding Fund (PBF), particularly in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes. The internship is flexible, allowing for hybrid, remote, or in-person work arrangements, and is expected to last for three months with the possibility of extension. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
Evaluation: Ensuring timely recording of project evaluations on the MPTF Gateway webpage and internal trackers, supporting the tracking of overdue evaluations, and preparing summaries and social media content about evaluation findings.
Supporting the PBF M&E Peer Support Group: This includes meeting preparation, developing a repository of M&E tools, and ensuring regular updates of communication lists.
Dashboard Peacebuilding Priorities and SDGs coding: Assisting with the implementation of new coding methods and supporting training sessions for PBF HQ staff.
Knowledge management: Contributing to the development of knowledge products and reporting, including adding new project results to the Microsoft Lists database and summarizing reports and meeting notes. The intern will also assist the PBF DMEL team with other emerging tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). While professional work experience is not required for the United Nations Internship Programme, a field of study closely related to the internship is necessary. Candidates must provide proof of their academic status and may need to submit an official certificate later in the application process.
Educational Background: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program. The educational background should be relevant to the internship role, particularly in fields related to international relations, peacebuilding, social sciences, or similar disciplines.
