Job Overview: The Trainer position at WFP is crucial for enhancing the skills and capabilities of the Global Fleet workforce. Duties and Responsibilities: The Trainer will carry out a variety of tasks, including: conducting scoping missions in selected countries to identify training needs and gaps within the Global Fleet workforce; advising stakeholders on designing and executing capacity strengthening activities for the Transport Training Centre (TTC); preparing and delivering training on fleet management, workshop management, driver training, and maintenance procedures; contributing to the development of training content in collaboration with relevant stakeholders; providing continuous coaching and technical advice to stakeholders to facilitate successful implementation of capacity strengthening activities; and preparing timely reports on the delivery and impact of training and related activities. The Trainer will also be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and commitment to WFP's mission and values.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a University Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related functional area. Additionally, candidates should have at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in training, demonstrating excellence in capacity strengthening initiatives. Experience in fleet management and supply chain operations is also required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and knowledge related to fleet management systems and transport tracking systems, as well as proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and under time pressure is essential, along with a commitment to WFP's objectives and ethical standards.
Educational Background: A completion of a University Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or in a related functional area is mandatory for this position. This educational background provides the necessary technical foundation for understanding fleet management and maintenance processes, which are critical to the Trainer's role in delivering effective training.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in training, with a strong emphasis on capacity strengthening initiatives. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in fleet management and supply chain operations, showcasing their ability to manage and optimize fleet resources effectively.
