Job Overview:
The consultant will play a crucial role in the implementation of the ATHIS e-Learning Course, which aims to equip professionals with the necessary skills to bridge the gap between policy and practice in social housing. This position involves designing and developing a comprehensive e-learning curriculum tailored for different audiences, including government officials, civil society organizations, and technical professionals. The consultant will ensure that the course content is engaging, accessible, and aligned with the ATHIS training objectives, while also managing the technical aspects of course delivery and evaluation. The consultant will work closely with UN-Habitat's operational and technical teams to ensure the successful launch and sustainability of the course.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's responsibilities include designing and developing the ATHIS e-learning training course across four distinct tracks, creating track-specific training materials, reviewing existing content for online adaptation, developing interactive online course materials, selecting and configuring a suitable Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring course accessibility, coordinating with experts for content validation, developing assessment tools, conducting pilot tests, planning the course launch, preparing reports on course development, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing training to facilitators. The consultant will also be responsible for completing all assigned courses and training activities as directed by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism or related fields, along with a postgraduate degree in relevant disciplines or an additional four years of experience. A minimum of seven years of experience in social housing or technical assistance in Brazil is required, along with experience in teaching or developing e-learning courses. Familiarity with the United Nations system is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong computer skills, knowledge of pedagogical methodologies, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism or related fields is required. Additionally, a postgraduate degree (Lato Sensu or Stricto Sensu) in Architecture and Urbanism, Geography, Pedagogy, Social Sciences, Communications, or related fields is required, or four additional years of relevant experience beyond the basic requirement.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of seven years of experience in social housing and/or technical assistance in Brazil. Experience in teaching and/or developing e-learning courses is essential, and previous experience working with the United Nations is considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory for this position, while working knowledge of English is desirable. The working languages of the United Nations Secretariat are English and French, with Spanish being the working language of the Regional Office.

Additional Notes:
This is a part-time position (84%) with a total remuneration of BRL 60,00
  • The consultant will receive payments based on the delivery and approval of specific products throughout the contract duration. The appointment is on a local basis, and only nationals from Brazil or candidates with a permanent visa may apply. The contract may be extended based on performance and availability of funds.
