Duties and Responsibilities:
The Country Director will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Ensuring the successful implementation of newly awarded projects by facilitating the signing of necessary Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
• Leading external coordination efforts by engaging with donors, local authorities, and other NGOs to foster collaboration and support for SI's initiatives.
• Maintaining a strong focus on the women agenda within programming and management, ensuring that women's contributions and needs are prioritized.
• Managing a diverse team of national and international staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective program delivery.
• Overseeing financial management, including budget awareness and administrative understanding to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Representing SI in external forums and negotiations, advocating for the organization's mission and objectives.
• Adapting to the security context by implementing safety protocols for staff movement and operations.
• Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Country Director position must possess a License or Master's degree in a humanitarian field or related topics. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with at least 0-2 years in a similar leadership position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills in security and liaison, negotiation with local authorities, and external representation. A solid understanding of administrative processes and budget management is also essential. Furthermore, candidates should exhibit transversal skills such as peaceful negotiation, leadership on women's issues, and the ability to navigate a highly politicized environment.

Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 600 is provided, along with coverage for accommodation costs and travel expenses. The organization implements a system of alternating work and time off, allowing for breaks every two months, with an additional rest day granted for each month worked.
