Duties and Responsibilities: The Country Director will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Ensuring the successful implementation of newly awarded projects by facilitating the signing of necessary Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
Leading external coordination efforts by engaging with donors, local authorities, and other NGOs to foster collaboration and support for SI's initiatives.
Maintaining a strong focus on the women agenda within programming and management, ensuring that women's contributions and needs are prioritized.
Managing a diverse team of national and international staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective program delivery.
Overseeing financial management, including budget awareness and administrative understanding to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Representing SI in external forums and negotiations, advocating for the organization's mission and objectives.
Adapting to the security context by implementing safety protocols for staff movement and operations.
Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Country Director position must possess a License or Master's degree in a humanitarian field or related topics. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with at least 0-2 years in a similar leadership position.
