Job Overview: The Procurement & Logistics Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement activities of FHI 360 Cameroon. This position is responsible for ensuring that all procurement processes are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures. The associate will assist in the procurement of materials, parts, and equipment necessary for the organization's operations, while also monitoring departmental costs and performance. The role requires collaboration with various departments to maintain inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. The associate will also be involved in developing bid specifications, reviewing requisition orders, and interacting with suppliers to resolve any issues related to deliveries. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function within the organization, ultimately contributing to the success of the EpiC project in Cameroon.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Procurement & Logistics Associate include preparing and maintaining purchasing files, reports, and price lists; assisting in the development of bid specifications; reviewing requisition orders for accuracy; contacting suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve issues; approving bills for payment; maintaining compliance with organizational and government regulations; checking shipments for accuracy; comparing prices and specifications to determine the best bids; maintaining documentation of purchase orders; interacting with customers to ensure compliance with purchasing activities; analyzing quotations and selecting suppliers; obtaining delivery certifications; conducting internal audits; processing requisitions and other purchasing documents; evaluating the quality and need for supplies; and consulting with department managers regarding purchasing needs. The associate may also be required to assist with inventory management and equipment lifecycle management.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Procurement & Logistics Associate position should possess a high school Advanced Level certificate as a minimum requirement, with a Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent in Business Administration or a related field preferred. The candidate should have strong knowledge of procurement methods and procedures, as well as experience in administrative support. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software. The candidate should demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and prepare reports. A certification in procurement is preferred, and prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is also advantageous.

Additional Notes: The expected hiring salary range for this role is XAF 7,000,000 - 9,000,000 annually for gross salary.
