Interns may also be called upon to support other units within OHCHR, thereby gaining broader exposure to the organization's work.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the UN Internship Programme, applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), preferably in law, political science, international relations, social sciences, or business administration management. While no prior work experience is required, relevant experience in the aforementioned fields is desirable. Candidates should possess skills and knowledge that would benefit the United Nations during their internship.
Educational Background: Candidates should have a strong educational background, ideally with a focus on law, political science, international relations, social sciences, or business administration management.
