Job Overview:
The position of Welding Technician for Solar PV Installation involves ensuring the successful execution of welding and structural metal works necessary for the installation of 12 kWp solar PV hybrid power supply systems. The technician will be responsible for on-site cutting and welding of metal sections to fabricate and install durable frames and brackets that will support rooftop solar PV panels. The role requires the technician to deliver secure mounting for 208 solar PV panels, each rated at 415 W, on newly constructed welded support structures across multiple sites. Additionally, the technician will be tasked with fabricating and installing additional support structures as needed, as well as constructing reinforced concrete pad foundations for metal section pillars to ensure the stability, safety, and long-term performance of all PV panel mounting systems. The work is expected to take place at Camp Zouani and is anticipated to last for one month.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Welding Technician include: - Carrying out welding work on-site by cutting and welding metal sections to create metal frames and brackets that will support solar PV panels on various rooftops. - Mounting a total of 208 solar PV panels, each with a capacity of 415 Watts, on rooftops using the newly welded frame support structures at different sites. - Fabricating, welding, and constructing additional mounted support structures as required for the installation. - Constructing concrete pad foundations for the metal section pillars that will support the top welded frame brackets for the solar PV panel supports. - Ensuring compliance with safety standards while working at heights and on elevated structures. - Demonstrating proficiency in the use of hand tools and electrical equipment relevant to welding and solar PV installation.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include: - A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. - A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in welding metal work with a recognized organization or company is required. - The ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals is essential. - Demonstrated proficiency in using hand tools and electrical equipment relevant to welding and solar PV installation is required. - Experience working at heights and on elevated structures while adhering to safety standards is necessary. - A proven ability to work effectively in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions is required. - Local certification in welding or metal work is desirable, as is formal training in welding or metal work.
