Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Assistant plays a crucial role in the logistics and procurement processes within the organization. Reporting to the Support Services Team Leader, this position is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, overseeing warehousing operations, and ensuring the efficient transportation of goods and personnel. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: conducting procure-to-pay (P2P) processes in Dynamics, organizing the warehouse and compound efficiently, sending requests for quotations (RFQs) to suppliers, and collecting quotations for procurement purposes. The assistant will also assist the officer in charge of facilities management to ensure that the organization's office and accommodation properties are managed responsibly. Daily tasks include ensuring the refueling of generators and vehicles with minimal supervision, assisting in the loading and packaging of operational materials in the warehouse, and ensuring that generators and vehicles have sufficient fuel to operate continuously. The assistant will check the reserve fuel tank levels, supervise fuel deliveries, and maintain accurate records of fuel readings and usage. Additionally, the Supply Chain Assistant will report any issues related to the compound and facilities to the supervisor and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor and the supply chain management team.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in humanitarian logistics, procurement, transport and distribution, warehousing, and stock management. A good understanding of procurement rules and regulations of major international donors is essential. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, as these tools are critical for effective communication and reporting within the role.

Educational Background:
A relevant university degree or diploma in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management or an equivalent professional qualification is required for this position. This educational background ensures that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform the duties effectively.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the field of humanitarian logistics and supply chain management.
