Job Overview:
In this role, you will be a core member of the Web, DevOps, and Authoring section within the IT-PW group at CERN. This group is responsible for providing essential services related to web hosting, authoring, and online collaboration tools, including Google Workspace, Confluence, SharePoint, TWiki, and Discourse. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and continuously improving these services, ensuring they meet the needs of the CERN community. You will be involved in the management and configuration of third-party cloud services, maintenance and upgrades of existing solutions, and contributing to the evolution of hosting infrastructure. This position also includes team supervision responsibilities, making it crucial for you to have strong leadership and collaboration skills. You will be expected to provide user support and actively seek feedback to enhance service quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties will include the management and configuration of third-party cloud services such as SharePoint Online and Microsoft Forms. You will be responsible for the maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and evolution of on-premise solutions like Confluence, TWiki, and Discourse, which are deployed on a PaaS infrastructure backed by OKD4 (OpenShift). Additionally, you will contribute to the global evolution of hosting infrastructure, including future hosting for .NET Framework sites and migration projects in the area of authoring and online collaboration tools. Providing user support to the CERN community is a key aspect of this role, as is supervising team members and ensuring effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State. You should have a professional background in Software or Computer Engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess either a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience. It is also essential that you have never held a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a Master's degree or a PhD in Software or Computer Engineering or a closely related field. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in programming, administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration, and cloud services management, which are critical for the responsibilities of this role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of professional experience for Master's degree holders or up to 3 years for PhD holders. Experience in managing on-premise services and cloud services is essential, along with a strong understanding of programming and system administration. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory, as it is the primary working language at CERN. Additionally, a commitment to learning French is expected, as it will enhance communication within the organization and with the local community.
