Job Overview:
The Senior Officer, Europe and Middle East, Global Partnership Development is responsible for leading the strategic cultivation and stewardship of high-value partnerships with philanthropists and family offices based in Europe and the Middle East. This role focuses on building and managing a robust pipeline of relationships aimed at securing significant commitments for global health and development initiatives. The officer will coordinate with a sophisticated team of relationship leads and will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of ultra-high-net-worth philanthropist partnerships, ensuring that significant targets are met annually. The position also involves creating informed champions who advocate for global health and development, inspiring partners to become long-term donors through deep relationship cultivation and management. The role is based in London and reports to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of Global Partnership Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Officer will design and implement a resource mobilization strategy to secure commitments from donors in Europe and the Middle East. Responsibilities include managing a complex portfolio of potential and current partners, developing outreach and cultivation plans, and ensuring alignment with the foundation's goals. The officer will represent the foundation directly with donors, partner with communications teams to craft compelling narratives, and manage relationships with donor networkers. Additionally, the officer will maintain rigorous tracking of the portfolio and pipeline through Salesforce CRM, ensuring effective engagement with partners and timely follow-up on donor interactions. The role requires the ability to travel 40% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. They should have demonstrated experience in complex partnership development or major gifts resource mobilization, with a proven track record in strategic relationship management. Successful candidates will have experience creating long-term partnerships with philanthropists and foundations, particularly with ultra-high-net-worth individuals across Europe, especially in the UK and Germany. Experience in the Middle East, particularly with Saudi Arabia, is also essential. A strong understanding of global health and development issues is required, along with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree or other advanced degree in a relevant field is required. Equivalent experience may also be considered. The educational background should ideally include studies related to philanthropy, international relations, public policy, or a similar field that supports the functions of the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have significant experience in partnership development, particularly in the context of major gifts and donor engagement. A proven track record of success in building and managing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic organizations is essential. Experience working in the global health and development sector, as well as familiarity with the philanthropic landscape in Europe and the Middle East, is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills necessary for engaging UHNW audiences. Candidates who can speak multiple languages, particularly Arabic, are preferred, as this will enhance the ability to connect with diverse donor communities across Europe and the Middle East.
