Job Overview:
The Field Office Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the support functions of the field office, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of various departments, including Human Resources, Administration, Finance, Logistics, and IT. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with NRC policies and procedures, as well as security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and risk management protocols. The role requires strong leadership skills, as the coordinator will lead a team and facilitate communication among staff members. The Field Office Coordinator will also be involved in budget management, project implementation support, and representation at meetings with local authorities and partners. This position is vital for promoting the rights of IDPs and returnees, as well as developing holistic and needs-based programs that address the challenges faced by these populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Office Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
  • Management of Support Functions: Overseeing the efficient functioning of HR/Admin, Finance, Logistics, and IT teams; ensuring optimal use of human resources; controlling recruitment procedures; supporting the Area Manager with disciplinary issues; conducting performance appraisals; managing cash flow and transfers; ensuring transparency in procurement processes; and overseeing fleet management.
  • Coordination and Representation: Acting as a representative to local authorities and external stakeholders; providing contextual monitoring and feedback to the Country Office; and facilitating communication between various teams.
  • Team Leadership: Leading the team, organizing meetings, and supporting emergency activity prioritization.
  • Security Management: Ensuring compliance with security procedures; managing incidents; and coordinating with the HAS Officer for resource allocation.
  • Administration: Supporting budgeting, preparing reports, managing document filing, and supervising office space allocation.
  • Professional Competencies: Demonstrating leadership capabilities, effective communication skills, and a commitment to NRC's values.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration or a development-related field. They should have at least three years of experience in support or program functions coordination within a humanitarian context. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, and a commitment to NRC’s values of dedication, innovation, inclusivity, and accountability. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities are essential, as well as the ability to manage resources effectively to optimize results.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary knowledge and skills to manage the various support functions effectively and to understand the complexities of humanitarian operations.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in support or program functions coordination, particularly within a humanitarian context. Candidates with prior experience in South Kordofan or with NRC will be given preference, as this experience will provide valuable insights into the local context and operational challenges.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and beneficiaries.
