Job Overview:
The consultancy role is designed to provide surge capacity to the Supply Chain Orchestration and Analytics (SCOA) function within the UNFPA Supply Chain Management Unit. The consultant will support the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of the SCOA Control Tower, which involves data preparation, KPI monitoring, analytical reporting, and dashboard maintenance. The consultant will work under the guidance of the SCOA Analyst, providing operational, analytical, and coordination support to the SCOA team and relevant stakeholders, including HQ, ITSO, Regional and Country Offices, and partners. The role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain management, ensuring that reproductive health products reach those in need in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for several key areas: A. Control Tower data operations and analytics support, which includes collecting, consolidating, validating, and preparing supply chain data from various sources for use within the SCOA Control Tower. This involves performing routine data validation and quality checks, supporting ETL processes, and preparing analytical datasets. B. Reporting, presentations, and analytical communication, where the consultant will support the creation of routine and ad-hoc reports, develop visual summaries for meetings, and ensure the accuracy of reporting outputs. C. GFPVAN support, which involves assisting with data processes related to GFPVAN and maintaining analytical datasets. D. Coordination, change management, and continuous improvement, where the consultant will coordinate data submissions from Regional and Country Offices, support communication on data-related matters, and contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and reporting efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary level education (high school or equivalent) as a minimum requirement. A first-level or advanced degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable. Additionally, candidates should possess a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, business intelligence, analytical reporting, or related areas. This experience requirement is reduced to 3 years for candidates with a relevant degree. Demonstrated experience in data preparation, validation, and quality assurance across multiple sources is essential, along with hands-on experience with structured datasets and databases, including SQL. Familiarity with BI/data visualization tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, and strong Excel skills are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completed secondary education as a minimum. A first-level or advanced degree in relevant fields such as Information Technology, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or Computer Science is highly desirable and can enhance a candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in relevant fields such as data analysis, business intelligence, or analytical reporting. However, this requirement can be reduced to 3 years for candidates who possess a relevant first-level or advanced university degree. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in supporting data preparation, validation, and quality assurance across multiple sources, as well as practical experience with BI/data visualization tools and strong Excel skills.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, a working knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset, which can enhance communication and collaboration within the international context of the role.
