Job Overview: The consultant position is primarily focused on supporting the implementation of the initiative 'Reconstruir sin ladrillos' in the Biobío Region, which aims to enhance the capacities of educational communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and prolonged crises. This initiative is particularly relevant in the context of the recent wildfires that have disrupted educational institutions in the region. The consultant will be responsible for designing and facilitating participatory workshops aimed at strengthening educational resilience, socio-emotional education, and psychosocial-support" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">psychosocial support. The role requires collaboration with local educational authorities and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and to document the learning outcomes and results of the initiative. The consultant will also be expected to produce detailed reports and a final project report that synthesizes the insights gained throughout the process.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will have several key responsibilities, including:
Designing and adjusting the methodology for participatory workshops aimed at educational communities affected by the wildfires.
Facilitating workshops that focus on building competencies in participating educational institutions.
Preparing detailed reports on the workshops and sessions conducted, ensuring that results and learnings are systematically documented.
Coordinating technically with the project team and local educational actors during the implementation phase.
Developing a comprehensive work plan for the consultancy that outlines the objectives, activities, and timelines.
Creating a methodological proposal tailored to the specific needs of the 'Reconstruir sin ladrillos' initiative.
Compiling technical reports that reflect the outcomes of the workshops and the overall project.
Producing a final report that includes synthesized insights, learnings, and results from the entire consultancy process.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a professional degree in social sciences or education, with a preference for those holding qualifications in psychology. Additionally, candidates should have experience in socio-emotional education and psychosocial support within educational contexts. Proven experience in facilitating workshops and collaborating with educational teams is essential. Furthermore, candidates should have a background in documenting participatory processes and preparing technical reports. Desirable qualifications include experience in education in emergencies and familiarity with international frameworks such as the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Comprehensive School Safety Framework, and the Minimum Standards for Education in Emergencies (INEE).
