Job Overview: The Data Analyst position within the Global Analytics team at IRC is designed for individuals who are analytical and curious, with a focus on deriving marketing, financial, and behavioral insights. This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics career, providing opportunities for hands-on project work and mentorship from experienced analysts. The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams, including fundraising, marketing, and finance, to deliver actionable insights that enhance donor engagement and maximize fundraising outcomes. The role also involves acting as a liaison with the Korea team, facilitating communication and data requests across different time zones and languages.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Data Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and interpret datasets to identify trends and insights that support global fundraising strategies. Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track fundraising performance and donor engagement metrics. Produce regular performance reports for stakeholders, highlighting actionable insights and growth opportunities. Support the development of data models for external benchmarking.
Insights & Recommendations: Provide analysis that informs strategic recommendations for improving fundraising effectiveness. Collaborate with senior analysts to translate analytical findings into business impact. Contribute insights for global fundraising campaigns and donor retention strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decisions are integrated into the global strategy. Serve as a key analytics point of contact for the Korea team, coordinating data requests and communicating findings. Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance data collection and reporting processes. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging analytics tools, contributing ideas for team improvement. Maintain best practices in coding, statistics, and analysis.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, with proficiency in at least one programming or query language such as SQL, Python, or R. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is essential. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Experience working with colleagues or stakeholders outside of the immediate team is also necessary.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred. Advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics or related fields may be advantageous.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of professional experience in data analytics, demonstrating a strong background in analyzing data and providing insights that drive decision-making. Experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment is a plus, as is familiarity with marketing analytics.
Languages: Professional fluency in both Korean and English (written and spoken) is essential for this role, as the Data Analyst will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues in Korea and other international teams. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not mandatory.
Additional Notes: This position may require some international travel and offers the flexibility of remote work, either full-time or part-time. Part-time remote employees may need to share workspace. Flexibility in working hours is necessary to maintain overlap with colleagues in Korea, but this does not imply an expectation of additional hours. The role is situated within a supportive team environment that encourages professional growth and skill development. The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000 to $92,000, based on various factors including labor market conditions, job type, and individual candidate experience.
