Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: assisting in the management of evaluations as outlined in the Evaluation Plan 2026-2027, which involves screening consultants, collecting documents for desk reviews, preparing meetings, and revising evaluation reports. They will also draft and revise guidance documents, checklists, and templates for evaluation reports and planning documents. Additionally, interns will support the communication strategies related to evaluation and policy, develop communication materials, and assist in the management of evaluation-related data in various systems. They will update repositories of evaluation reports, maintain databases of evaluation consultants, and assist in analyzing and presenting data related to the OHCHR Management Plan. Furthermore, interns will support the organization of events and meetings, assist in the implementation of governance documents, and contribute to the Organizational Effectiveness Action Plans (OEAPs). Other tasks may be assigned by supervisors as needed.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a second university degree, equivalent, or higher; (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree (bachelor's degree or equivalent). While previous work experience is not required, a field of study closely related to Evaluation, Planning, Policy, Programming, or Human Rights issues is considered advantageous. Strong drafting skills in English are also beneficial, as well as skills in graphic design, which would enhance the intern's contributions to the team.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this internship includes either being enrolled in or having completed a second university degree or being in the final academic year of a first university degree. This educational requirement ensures that candidates possess a foundational understanding of the relevant fields, particularly those related to human rights, evaluation, and policy development.
Experience: No prior work experience is required for this internship position.
