Job Overview: The Learning & Development Officer at UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest plays a crucial role in shaping and executing a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with the organization's modernization agenda. Duties and Responsibilities: The Learning & Development Officer will undertake several key functions, including:
Co-designing the learning architecture to ensure it meets the needs of the organization.
Conducting Learning Needs Analysis to identify skill gaps and future capabilities.
Coordinating the delivery of training programs and managing the associated budget.
Delivering training sessions, both in-person and online, to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Fostering a culture of integration and collaboration within the organization.
Innovating learning strategies to keep pace with modern educational trends and technologies.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in learning & development, human resource management, psychology, International Relations, or a related field. Additionally, they should have at least two years of professional experience in learning & development, specifically in designing and delivering learning initiatives. Experience working closely with subject matter experts and identifying learning needs is essential. Candidates should also have experience facilitating workshops, both in-person and online, and experience with international organizations or shared services/business support centers is highly desirable. Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles, including AI-driven learning tools, is required, along with the ability to conduct comprehensive learning needs assessments and oversee learning product design.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as learning & development, human resource management, psychology, or International Relations is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the principles of adult learning and the dynamics of human resource development.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in learning & development. This experience should include designing and delivering learning initiatives, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with subject matter experts. Experience in an international organization and a shared services or business support center is highly desirable, as it provides valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within such environments.
Languages: Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as Arabic, French, Russian, Spanish, or Chinese, or a local language, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
