Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Volunteer with SP Unit - Youth Livelihoods include:
  • Supporting the coordination of non-sensitive data collection and monitoring/assessment systems, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards.
  • Assisting in the collection, sorting, and distribution of correspondence, reports, and other materials to ensure timely delivery and alignment with staff needs.
  • Maintaining office files, documents, and records in accordance with established systems and procedures, ensuring that information remains up-to-date and readily accessible.
  • Assisting in organizing events, workshops, seminars, and webinars, ensuring smooth preparation and execution.
  • Collaborating with various team members and contributing to the delivery of business support services for staff across functions.
  • Preparing minutes of meetings and documenting field visits and discussions to ensure accurate and comprehensive keeping.
  • Performing other related duties as required, in support of overall office operations and team objectives.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include:
  • Completion of secondary school education; a university degree in a related functional area is desirable.
  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station, specifically proficiency in English and Arabic.
  • One year of progressively responsible study/work experience in the related business stream, with experience in general administrative work.
  • Proficiency in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of work routines and methods to complete processes under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention.

Educational Background:
The educational background needed for this position includes the completion of secondary school education, with a preference for candidates who possess a university degree in a related functional area. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of the role and effectively contributing to the team's objectives.

Experience:
