Job Overview: The Data Specialist position is crucial for the management and control of master data requirements within the IRC's Integra system. This role involves designing and overseeing the end-to-end processes related to master data, which includes managing data for products, vendors, purchase agreements, employees, and partners. The Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring that master data controls are effectively implemented to facilitate efficient data migration and manage high volumes of vendor setup requests from various IRC locations. The Data Specialist will serve as a central point of contact for master data inquiries, ensuring compliance with IRC's standards and facilitating smooth operations across multiple legal entities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Data Specialist will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: acting as the primary contact for master data inquiries from various legal entities, performing master data additions, changes, and deletions in accordance with established procedures, ensuring due diligence in vendor data management to mitigate risks such as non-compliance and fraud, maintaining accurate price file management in line with current contracts, conducting quality control activities, and recommending improvements to master data procedures. The role also involves reviewing key performance indicators to ensure data accuracy, guiding users on master data processes, ensuring that Purchase Order Contracts meet all requirements, and monitoring vendor global addresses for duplicates to maintain data integrity.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or a Business-related field from a recognized university. Additionally, applicants should have at least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within an international humanitarian organization, demonstrating a strong understanding of processes and systems. The ideal candidate will also exhibit proficiency in English, French, Spanish, or Arabic, and possess the ability to identify potential fraud during procurement processes, prioritize tasks effectively, and foster collaboration among teams.
