The Online Volunteer position is designed to support the UNV Nepal Communications team by focusing on the editing and refinement of articles and volunteer stories that promote various UN International Days. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteer will be responsible for conducting thorough background research to enhance the content and accuracy of up to three articles. This includes refining and editing draft articles to improve clarity, structure, and engagement. The volunteer must ensure that all edited drafts are submitted by agreed-upon deadlines. Additionally, the volunteer will be tasked with ensuring that all information aligns with UNV’s communication style and messaging guidelines, which will be provided by the UNV Communications team. Fact-checking references, quotes, and statistics for each article is also a critical responsibility, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the published content.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail. They should be able to conduct effective background research and demonstrate an understanding of communication styles. Familiarity with UNV’s mission and values is advantageous, as is experience in volunteerism or community engagement. The ability to work independently and meet deadlines is essential, as is a commitment to promoting peace and development through effective communication.

Educational Background:
