Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Administration General Support - Maintenance position include:
Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out all repairs safely and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct general maintenance tasks including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, heating, and related works. Operate and maintain generators of the guesthouses, including monitoring fuel, oil, and filters. Replace light bulbs and perform minor repair tasks as needed. Maintain garden and outdoor areas surrounding the office and guesthouses. Provide maintenance services and support for DRC guesthouses. Assess and report any repair needs, replacements, or technical issues to the line manager.
Administrative & Operational Support: Ensure all office premises are safe, clean, and functioning properly. Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) related to maintenance, utilities, repairs, and facility-related items. Support with preparing payment requests for maintenance services, utilities, and facility-related expenses. Monitor and maintain kitchen supplies, ensuring regular restocking and proper organization. Maintain and update office stationery supplies, ensuring availability for staff. Liaise with Supply Chain on administrative processes (e.g., drinking water, minor office purchases). Follow up on timely payment of utility bills and administration-related invoices.
Guesthouse Maintenance Support: Ensure guesthouse premises remain functional, safe, and well maintained. Support upkeep and cleanliness through coordination with housekeepers. Conduct spot checks in guesthouses and report issues requiring action. Follow up on repairs, replacements, and maintenance needs. Ensure guesthouse stocks (cleaning materials, basic supplies, etc.) are maintained and monitored.
Coordination and Reporting: Maintain clear communication with HR & Admin team regarding facility needs. Support administrative colleagues with information needed for PRs, payments, or service provider follow-up. Report any health and safety concerns immediately to the line manager. Perform any other related duties assigned by the line manager.
