Job Overview: The HR Adviser, Talent Acquisition plays a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative strategies to attract managerial and technical talent that aligns with UNFPA's organizational needs. The role involves designing and executing effective talent acquisition strategies tailored to UNFPA's specific requirements, ensuring that the organization can meet its current and future staffing needs. The HR Adviser will work closely with hiring managers and HR leadership to enhance the recruitment process, focusing on building relationships and leveraging various sourcing methods to attract top talent. Duties and Responsibilities: The HR Adviser will be responsible for several key areas:
Developing innovative approaches to sourcing, branding, and outreach, including serving as a business partner with hiring managers to create effective recruitment strategies.
Defining UNFPA's global branding, sourcing, and outreach strategies, utilizing online recruiting resources, social media, job boards, and professional networks to attract suitable candidates.
Collaborating with the HRD Policy Advisor to modernize internal policies and practices related to talent acquisition.
Implementing recruitment activities aligned with UNFPA's People Strategy, ensuring timely talent acquisition to support the organization's strategic goals.
Participating in talent acquisition initiatives, assessing best practices, and driving activities in partnership with HRBPs.
Supporting knowledge building and sharing within the organization regarding talent acquisition policies and practices.
Representing UNFPA in inter-agency working groups and task forces, delivering presentations on UNFPA's thought leadership.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline. Additionally, they should have at least ten years of progressively responsible experience in HR management, specifically in talent sourcing, recruitment, branding, and workforce planning. Experience in a globally present company or international organization is essential. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in sourcing techniques, global labor market knowledge, and the ability to deliver innovative talent acquisition services in a multicultural environment. Strong project management skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities, and a client-oriented approach are also required. Familiarity with the development sector is considered an asset.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary theoretical foundation and practical skills needed to navigate the complexities of talent acquisition and human resource management within an international organization like UNFPA.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in HR management, particularly in areas related to talent sourcing, recruitment, branding, and workforce planning. This experience should include a significant portion in a globally present company or an international organization, demonstrating a deep understanding of the global labor market and effective talent acquisition strategies.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of other official UN languages, particularly French and/or Spanish, is desirable and can enhance the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse international environment.
