Job Overview: The position of Auxiliar de Recuento de Mercancías involves supporting the logistics team in the physical reception of food and non-food items, ensuring that the quantity, condition, and transport conditions of the products are verified. The role requires participation in regular physical counts and complete inventories, maintaining updated records of entries, exits, and stock using official formats and tools provided by the logistics team. The successful candidate will prepare accurate counting reports and ensure systematic accountability for the inflow and outflow of products in the warehouse. The role also includes ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse in accordance with WFP standards, and supporting the loading of trucks while adhering to proper dispatch conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the senior logistics assistant, the main responsibilities include: supporting the physical reception of food and non-food supplies by verifying quantity, product condition, and transport conditions; unloading, stacking, and safely storing items according to WFP standards; reporting any discrepancies, damages, or inventory differences to the supervisor immediately; participating in regular physical counts and complete inventories as required; maintaining updated records of entries, exits, and stock using official formats and tools; preparing accurate counting reports, including efficient preparation and distribution of counting sheets to relevant parties; preparing dispatches according to Waybills and instructions from the logistics team; assisting in loading trucks while ensuring proper conditions and correct dispatches; and ensuring cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse according to WFP standards, including storage areas, aisles, equipment, and loading/unloading zones. The role also involves supporting re-stacking or reordering activities when necessary.
Required Qualifications: Minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in basic logistics activities, specifically in inventory counting. Candidates should possess knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with corporate systems in a SAP environment is desirable. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
