Job Overview:
The Analyst position at EBRD is integral to the Advice for Small Businesses Programme, which aims to provide advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Analyst will be involved in various stages of project management, including initiation, structuring, execution, implementation, monitoring, and completion of advisory projects. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying client needs and developing tailored advisory solutions. The Analyst will work closely with senior team members and clients to ensure that projects align with the strategic priorities of the EBRD and contribute to the overall development of the SME sector. The position demands strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and financial institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will be responsible for delivering various instruments and activities under the Advice for Small Businesses Programme. Key responsibilities include performing all activities in alignment with the Bank's policies and procedures, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The Analyst will analyze clients' financials and growth prospects to provide impactful advisory support. They will also contribute to business development by generating a pipeline of high-quality clients and advisory activities in priority areas such as digitalization and green economy. Additionally, the Analyst will monitor portfolio companies' performance, support marketing and visibility activities, and prepare accurate financial reports. The role requires collaboration with various teams within the EBRD to ensure maximum synergy between advisory and banking services.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field, along with strong business and financial analytical skills. The ability to interpret financial accounts and conduct thorough analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills, as well as effective communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. Experience in writing project proposals and reports is desirable. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in the local language is essential. Candidates should also be computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, or Finance is required for this position. Candidates with equivalent work experience may also be considered. A strong educational background will provide the necessary foundation for the analytical and project management skills needed in this role.

Experience:
Relevant professional experience is preferred, ideally from commercial management consultancy, development institutions, or financial institutions such as banks. Candidates should have a good understanding of EBRD's strategic SME priority areas, including green economy, economic inclusion, and digitalization. Experience working in the local business environment and familiarity with the consultancy market is essential. Knowledge of relevant stakeholders and SME business associations is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this position. Additionally, fluency in the local language of Kazakhstan is essential to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders. Knowledge of other languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
This position is a fixed-term contract lasting for 2 years. The Analyst role is full-time and requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in diverse teams. Candidates should be prepared to travel within Kazakhstan and potentially internationally as part of their responsibilities.
