Job Overview: The Associate Information Management Officer plays a critical role in managing the lifecycle of the organization's information assets, ensuring that essential information is readily accessible to employees. This position requires a proactive approach to capturing, organizing, preserving, digitizing, and sharing various information assets. The officer will work under limited supervision and will be responsible for proposing policies related to information ownership, stewardship, and access, thereby promoting transparency and accountability within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate Information Management Officer will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
Information Lifecycle Management: Developing policies and procedures for managing both physical and digital information assets, ensuring compliance with records retention schedules and regulatory requirements, and maintaining inventories of information assets with appropriate access controls.
Data Governance: Supporting the implementation of enterprise data governance standards, maintaining documentation of data ownership and stewardship, contributing to data inventories, and assisting in monitoring data quality controls.
AI Governance & Responsible AI Support: Implementing AI governance standards, tracking compliance with responsible AI principles, and coordinating documentation for AI risk assessments.
Policy & Procedure Development: Drafting and proposing updates to information management policies, ensuring operationalization through supporting procedures, and maintaining version control of governance artifacts.
Compliance, Risk & Reporting: Supporting audit readiness, tracking remediation activities from audits, and identifying governance risks.
Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating with various stakeholders to operationalize governance requirements and improve processes.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Associate Information Management Officer position should possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Core competencies required for this role include a strong sense of urgency, thoughtful risk-taking, technical knowledge, legal understanding, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
