Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Communications/Public Relations/External Relations Support Officer include:
Contributing to the implementation of the communication policy with a focus on outreach to industry.
Creating and producing high-quality communication content across multiple formats for both internal and external audiences.
Maintaining the Procurement website (WordPress) to ensure content accuracy and engagement.
Strengthening the Procurement Service's digital presence by managing social media channels and supporting communication campaigns.
Preparing and conducting surveys to analyze results and highlight CERN's impact on industry.
Collaborating with various teams to ensure cohesive communication strategies.
Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback and improve communication efforts.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Communication, Marketing, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should have experience in professional communication and/or marketing related to industry, preferably within a technological and international environment. Proficiency in graphic design tools and experience with website implementation and maintenance are also essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong skills in content creation, audiovisual material development, digital marketing, social media management, and report writing.
Educational Background: Candidates are required to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the fields of Communication, Marketing, or a related discipline. CERN offers a competitive salary that is tax-free and increases with relevant experience. Employees are entitled to 30 days of paid leave per year, plus an additional two weeks of annual closure.
