Job Overview: The Manager, International Philanthropy will play a crucial role within the International Philanthropy team, which is dedicated to raising funds from high-net-worth individuals outside the U.S. This position involves managing donor accounts and coordinating daily activities for the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Senior Director and Director. This position is essential for ensuring effective communication between donors and field staff, as well as tracking the donor cycle in collaboration with various teams within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Manager, International Philanthropy include: collaborating with frontline fundraisers to implement strategies for high-net-worth individual donors; drafting and editing donor-facing communications such as letters and emails; coordinating with internal teams to develop concept notes, proposals, and reports; preparing agendas and materials for donor meetings; acting as a liaison between donors and field staff; collaborating with Prospect Research and Management teams; supporting the planning and delivery of stewardship events; updating the donor database (Salesforce); ensuring compliance with IRC and donor requirements; providing operational support to the Senior Director and Director; maintaining team systems and processes; and contributing to special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of philanthropy fundraising principles and methods, along with experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems. Excellent project management skills are essential, as well as the ability to prioritize and organize workloads effectively. Strong interpersonal skills are required to build relationships with donors and stakeholders. A Bachelor’s Degree or higher is necessary, with professional fundraising certifications being an advantage. Experience in the UK and US markets is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with HTML for website updates is a plus, and a passion for the IRC’s mission is essential.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Professional fundraising certifications are considered an advantage, but equivalent experience may also be acceptable. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the principles of philanthropy and fundraising.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have relevant experience in philanthropy fundraising, particularly with high-net-worth individuals.
