The consultant will play a crucial role in adapting investment promotion strategies in response to the changing geopolitical landscape and new investment trends. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of sustainable development sectors and the ability to package and promote investible opportunities. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including government counterparts and service providers, to ensure the successful implementation of the ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan (RIPAP).
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for developing sponsorship packages and approaching potential partners in coordination with ESCAP. They will track sponsor commitments and ensure the delivery of agreed visibility and benefits. The consultant must prepare and maintain a detailed workplan, risk log, and operational budget tracking matrix, coordinating closely with ESCAP and other stakeholders to ensure timely implementation. They will support the finalization of the program, including various session types, and coordinate speakers while liaising with audio-visual and venue teams. On-site coordination during the Forum is essential, overseeing registration, speaker flow, sponsor delivery, and troubleshooting. A concise post-event report summarizing outcomes and lessons learned will also be required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in economics, administration, business, international development, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in event management or related stakeholder engagement is required, preferably within an ASEAN context. Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering high-level regional or international events is essential, including coordination with government counterparts, venues, logistics operators, vendors, and event organizers. Experience in sponsorship management is also necessary.
