Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks including conducting desk reviews and collecting data pertinent to the Financial Landscape for Development project. They will update existing information and support online research coordination tasks, which may involve conducting expert interviews. The intern will document and follow up on discussions and agreements made during meetings, contribute to the drafting of the Financial Landscape for Development Report, and produce two policy briefs. Additionally, they will design templates for future updates, assist in the organization and documentation of meetings and interviews, prepare inputs and background materials for meetings, and help coordinate online tasks and follow-up activities. The intern will also contribute to planning and logistics for events and consultations as needed, ensuring that all aspects of the project are well-organized and effectively communicated.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, with a field of study closely related to the internship. While professional work experience is not required for applicants to the UN Internship Programme, candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background and relevant skills. A good command of standard software applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint, is essential. The ability to draft basic concept notes and contribute to documentation and knowledge products is also required. Strong organizational and analytical skills, along with attention to detail, are critical for success in this role. Additionally, the ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts is desirable.
Educational Background: Applicants must be students in the final year of their first university degree (bachelor or equivalent) or pursuing a Master's degree.
