Job Overview:
The European AIS Database (EAD) Data and Analytics Expert will play a crucial role within the Network Management Directorate, specifically in the Operations Division. This position is designed for an individual who can provide expertise and guidance on EAD service activities, focusing on data analysis to identify trends and insights that support decision-making processes. The expert will be responsible for processing, cleansing, and verifying EAD data, ensuring its integrity and consistency. The role also involves developing and implementing data validation processes, collaborating with national AIS providers, and producing tailored analyses for various stakeholders. The selected candidate will be expected to stay updated on the latest developments in the field and contribute to projects and initiatives that enhance operational data exchange and service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the EAD Data and Analytics Expert include:
  • Providing expertise and guidance on EAD service activities through data analysis.
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying EAD data, including NOTAMs, AIPs, and charts.
  • Developing and implementing data validation processes to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborating with national AIS providers to improve data exchange.
  • Producing regular and ad hoc analyses for briefings and reports.
  • Identifying and delivering insights from processed data.
  • Documenting EAD data errors and initiating corrective measures.
  • Participating in projects, studies, and meetings.
  • Planning and executing data diagnostics to identify improvement areas. 1
  • Consulting with clients and management to resolve data errors. 1
  • Sharing knowledge of best practices and trends within the organization. 1
  • Managing relationships with EAD clients. 1
  • Performing any other tasks aligned with the job's main purpose.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following educational and professional experience requirements:
  • Completion of third-level studies meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) level 7 followed by at least three years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Completion of third-level studies meeting EQF level 6 followed by at least four years of relevant professional experience. Additionally, certification or training in AIM, EAD operations, or related fields is highly desirable. Candidates should possess experience in operational aviation data analysis, familiarity with AIS/AIM systems, and knowledge of ICAO Annex 15 and other international aeronautical data standards. Experience in producing aeronautical data reports and familiarity with the European AIS Database (EAD) and associated tools is advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completion of third-level studies that align with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) levels 6 or
  • This educational foundation should be complemented by relevant professional experience in the field of aviation data analysis or related areas. Candidates are encouraged to have certifications or training in AIM or EAD operations, which would enhance their qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The level of experience required for this position includes a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience for candidates with EQF level 7 education, or four years for those with EQF level 6 education. This experience should be in operational aviation data analysis, working with AIS/AIM systems, and producing aeronautical data reports. Familiarity with the European AIS Database (EAD) and associated tools is considered an advantage, as is experience in stakeholder engagement and analytical thinking.

Languages:
Proficiency in English at level C1 is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary working language of the Agency. Candidates are also required to become basic users of French at levels A1/A2 before the end of their probation period. This bilingual requirement reflects the Agency's commitment to fostering a multilingual work environment and ensuring effective communication across diverse teams.

Additional Notes:
The position is offered as a full-time role with a duration of five years, with the possibility of extension or conversion to an undetermined duration appointment under specific conditions. The selected candidate will undergo a probationary period of nine months. The role operates under a hybrid working model, allowing for a combination of onsite presence and remote work, although full-time remote work is not permitted.
