Job Overview:
The position of Encuestador(a) del Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is crucial for supporting the implementation of data collection and information management activities by the IOM in Guatemala. The selected candidate will work under the general supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Information Management Officer, closely coordinating with the Mission's Information Management team. The role involves conducting structured interviews and field data collection with migrants, displaced persons, returnees, and other profiles of human mobility using standardized digital tools provided by IOM. The position demands a high level of responsibility, professionalism, and sensitivity when interacting with diverse populations, particularly those in vulnerable situations. The Encuestador(a) will play a fundamental role in generating reliable data that will guide programmatic decisions, enhance operational planning, and support humanitarian responses in Guatemala.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Encuestador(a) will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: understanding and fully complying with the operational manuals, protocols, and guidelines of the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) and IOM; conducting interviews and data collection in designated areas as coordinated by the Information Management Officer; applying surveys strictly following IOM guidelines while maintaining neutrality; explaining survey objectives clearly to ensure informed consent; collecting information only within the authorized framework; ensuring data protection and confidentiality protocols are followed; maintaining availability according to operational needs; safeguarding and properly using assigned equipment; maintaining professional conduct during field activities; participating in daily or periodic meetings with supervisors; actively engaging in training and methodological updates organized by IOM; reviewing the quality and completeness of forms before submission; reporting technical issues promptly; adhering to established security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security protocols; and ensuring timely reporting of operational incidents.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a General High School Diploma or a vocational technical diploma. They should have at least two years of proven experience in similar processes, knowledge of the national territory, and familiarity with migration issues, which is considered a plus. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in interview techniques, basic survey collection methods, and mobile device management. Good spelling and grammar skills are essential, along with flexibility to work different hours and effective time management and organization skills. A professional appearance is also required.

Educational Background:
