Job Overview:
The Human Resources Assistant (HR Assistant) position at DRC is designed to provide essential support in the Human Resources department, ensuring compliance with both DRC's internal guidelines and local regulations. The role is crucial for maintaining effective HR operations within the Area Office, particularly in Mykolaiv. The HR Assistant will work closely with the HR and Administration Team Leader and will be responsible for a variety of HR-related tasks, including recruitment, employee induction, and maintaining accurate HR records. The position requires a proactive approach to managing HR functions, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and in accordance with legal requirements. The HR Assistant will also play a key role in fostering a positive work environment by supporting employee well-being initiatives and ensuring that staff members have access to necessary training and development opportunities. This role is vital for the overall success of DRC's mission in Ukraine, as it directly impacts the organization's ability to attract, retain, and develop talent within the humanitarian sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Assistant will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties that include, but are not limited to: assisting management and employees with HR-related issues; leading the recruitment process for the area, which involves advertising job openings, preparing long lists of candidates, organizing interviews, conducting reference checks, and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed; ensuring compliance with local labor laws and data protection regulations regarding personnel documentation; interacting with the DRC Country Office to ensure timely and accurate turnover of documentation; assisting with the hiring, transfer, and dismissal of employees in accordance with labor legislation and internal policies; managing employee leave requests and maintaining accurate records; performing HR functions within DRC's ERP system, including hiring, terminating, and extending employee contracts; providing timely information on HR changes to the Country Office; facilitating the performance appraisal process and ensuring that learning and development opportunities are available; assisting in the induction and training of staff on essential topics such as the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest; and supporting people planning activities to ensure job descriptions are current and relevant. Additionally, the HR Assistant will be involved in promoting employee well-being initiatives within the organization.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the HR Assistant position, candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant working experience in the HR field or a related area, such as recruitment. Candidates should have experience working with document workflows, including employment contracts, orders, and letters. A solid understanding of local labor laws is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will demonstrate cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment. Proficiency in English at level A2 or higher is required, along with fluency in Ukrainian. Educational Background:

Experience:
