Job Overview: The Humanitarian Coordination Lead will play a pivotal role in leading the coordination of humanitarian responses in Myanmar, particularly through the INGO Forum. Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination of humanitarian responses among INGO Forum members and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing.
Provide technical advice to the INGO Forum and its working groups, adapting coordination approaches to the Myanmar context.
Facilitate internal coordination among members, including organizing meetings and developing common positions.
Compile and circulate updates and reports to keep members informed of key developments.
Build the capacity of members and local partners to navigate coordination mechanisms effectively.
Represent the INGO Forum in inter-agency meetings and external networks, advocating for the collective voice of INGOs.
Draft policy briefs and reports based on member needs, ensuring key learnings are documented and shared.
Contribute to global coordination initiatives and represent Myanmar perspectives in international forums. 1
Produce case studies and thematic briefs that highlight experiences and lessons learned from the Myanmar context.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as international development, social sciences, or political sciences. A minimum of 3 years of work experience in complex and fragile humanitarian environments is essential, particularly in roles related to humanitarian coordination, NGO forums, or inter-agency leadership. Candidates should have a strong understanding of Myanmar's humanitarian and political context, with proven ability to navigate sensitive environments. Demonstrated experience in coordination facilitation, policy analysis, and engagement with humanitarian systems is required. A strong background in working with civil society organizations, NGOs, INGOs, and UN agencies is also necessary. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to produce high-quality written materials, such as briefing papers and reports, are crucial for this role.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field, which may include international development, social sciences, political sciences, or a related discipline. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the theoretical knowledge and analytical skills necessary for effective humanitarian coordination and engagement.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in complex and fragile humanitarian environments. Candidates should have a proven track record in humanitarian coordination, inter-agency leadership, or similar roles. Experience working in the Myanmar context is particularly valuable, as it demonstrates the candidate's ability to navigate the unique challenges and dynamics present in the region.

Additional Notes: The successful applicant will receive a DRC Regular contract, which includes a 3-month probation period. The contract is renewable based on funding availability and performance. The position falls within Employment Band G-non-management. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with DRC’s Terms of Employment.
