Job Overview: The National Consultant for Palm Oil Supply ChainAnalysis and Technical Guideline will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive analysis of the palm oil supply chain in Indonesia. Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough analysis of the palm oil supply chain in Indonesia, including production, processing, distribution, and consumption stages.
Identify key stakeholders in the palm oil sector and engage with them to gather relevant data and insights.
Assess the environmental and social impacts of current palm oil practices and identify areas for improvement.
Develop technical guidelines aimed at enhancing sustainability and efficiency in the palm oil supply chain.
Prepare a comprehensive report detailing findings, recommendations, and guidelines for stakeholders.
Present findings to UNDP and relevant stakeholders, facilitating discussions on implementation strategies.
Provide ongoing support and expertise to stakeholders during the implementation of the guidelines.
Ensure compliance with UNDP's procurement processes and reporting requirements throughout the assignment.
Required Qualifications:
Advanced degree in environmental science, agriculture, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience in supply chain analysis, particularly in the agricultural sector, with a focus on palm oil or similar commodities.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with sustainability standards and practices in the palm oil industry is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software to support research and reporting.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess an advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field such as environmental science, agriculture, supply chain management, or a related discipline. A strong academic background is essential to ensure the consultant has the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to perform the analysis effectively.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in supply chain analysis, with a strong emphasis on the agricultural sector. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken.
