Job Overview: The Technical Advisor II for Women's Health will play a crucial role in supporting the technical functions of PSI's women's health initiatives. This position involves designing and implementing technical activities across various health disciplines, ensuring alignment with PSI's mission and global best practices. The advisor will engage in capacity building within the PSI network, contribute to the development of technical strategies, and actively seek new funding opportunities. The role requires a strong focus on women's health, integrating services, and promoting equity and choice in health care. The advisor will work closely with country offices to provide technical assistance and ensure effective program delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Develop and implement women's health projects and strategies, potentially leading discrete workstreams. Provide remote and in-country technical assistance to enhance the capacity of country offices.
Representation: Act as a representative for the department or project, managing relationships with donors, partners, and government stakeholders.
Knowledge Management: Contribute to the development of technical briefs, reports, and other materials for internal and external dissemination.
Fundraising: Assist in writing and reviewing proposals, identifying new funding opportunities, and serving as lead writer for medium bids.
Team Leadership: May manage staff, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field.
Master's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (e.g., MPH, MSc, MPP, MPA, MBA) is preferred, with a medical-related degree being advantageous.
At least 7 years of relevant experience in women's health or related fields.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in French is required.
Demonstrated technical knowledge in relevant areas and the ability to provide technical assistance with minimal support.
Ability to produce technical products and tools independently.
Educational Background: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a Master's Degree being highly preferred. Relevant fields include public health, health policy, health administration, or other related disciplines. A medical-related degree is also advantageous for this position.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience in women's health or a similar field. Candidates with equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered. The role demands a strong background in program management, technical assistance, and capacity building within health systems.
Languages: Proficiency in French is mandatory for this position, as the role involves working in French-speaking regions. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not required.
