Job Overview:
The Finance Intern role at the Danish Refugee Council is designed to support the Finance department in the Addis Ababa Country Office. The intern will be involved in various financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cash handling, payments, and record-keeping. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Intern will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: collecting checks and cash from staff and customers, ensuring timely bank deposits, maintaining cash collections and confidential documents securely, distributing and paying checks against approved receipts, and notifying suppliers when checks are ready for collection. The intern will also participate in data entry into the cash register, maintain an updated cash balance, and ensure proper filing of vouchers, ledgers, and financial records. Additional tasks include labeling financial document folders, scanning documents for upload to SharePoint, collecting bank advice and statements, and performing other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Finance Intern position should possess a BA Degree or Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
